The JCB 400T is the largest and most powerful compact track loader in the JCB New Zealand line-up. Powered by a 4.4 litre JCB EcoMAX engine producing 81 kW (109 hp), this vertical lift tracked loader delivers a 1,812 kg rated operating capacity and a 3.12 m hinge pin height, making it ideal for loading trucks, moving bulk material and running high-demand hydraulic attachments.

Like every JCB track loader, the 400T features our unique single-arm PowerBoom and side entry door, so getting in and out is safe and simple, even with an attachment fitted. High-flow performance and productivity

With a powerful 4.4 litre JCB EcoMAX engine and a vertical lift path, the 400T keeps the load close to the machine for excellent reach at full height, making truck loading quick and controlled.

Standard auxiliary hydraulic flow is 91 L/min, with high-flow options of 125 L/min and up to 159 L/min for demanding attachments such as mulchers, cold planers, trenchers and stump grinders. An expanded cooling pack means the 400T can run high-flow work for extended periods without extra auxiliary coolers.

Built tough, designed for safety

The 400T is built for the long haul. A fully welded chassis and a single-arm PowerBoom with 20% more steel give it outstanding strength and reach, while internally routed hydraulic hoses are protected from damage on rough sites. A solid, heavy-duty undercarriage keeps the machine stable and productive on uneven NZ ground.

Safety comes first too. The side entry door means operators never have to climb over the bucket or attachment to get in and out, and with no rear torque tube, the 400T offers 270° all-round visibility, with up to 60% better visibility than conventional twin-arm skid steers. Laminated glass adds further protection.

Comfortable cab, easy servicing

Long days in the seat are easier in the 400T. Electric, adjustable joystick controls can be switched between ISO and H-pattern to suit the operator, and the touch screen display lets you fine-tune control sensitivity, set reversing fan intervals and track hours with a built-in job timer.

Keeping the 400T working is simple. Daily checks are done from ground level, filters are reached through the rear service door, and the cab tilts forward for full access to major components. O-ring face seal fittings help prevent hydraulic leaks, and JCB LiveLink telematics lets you monitor location, hours and machine health remotely.
